January Roads

Took a ride through the ROCKS Estate, SPNHF Christmas tree farm in Bethlehem NH this morning and snapped a few photos.
Looking through the fence, it looks like they had a good season selling the trees. Lots of open space where trees used to be.

Dock Rebuild

Travis and I just spent a couple of days replacing the logs holding the dock up at the lake. Was a well timed adventure ad we were able to drive in to the camp yet still stand on the ice to work. Plus the lake level was down to winter level so logs normally underwater in summer were exposed.
Photos show step by step from the peel back of the top to tear down of logs. Then the build up with pressure treated and putting top back on with the replacement of a few top boards.
Rain held off the 2nd day til we were just finishing up top decking. Still probably a couple of weeks til the ice goes out of the lake. Usually around mid April.

Great Day

Started with a full moon in the west early this morning. Then most of the day was bright blue sky and sunshine (always nice to see up here in norther NH). I believe we are forecast for another sunny day tomorrow!!

Property lines

Spent part of today re-flagging the property lines over in Bethlehem. Of course the lines do not even come close to following the old stone walls that crisscross the land there. Like most places in New Hampshire the old farms have been divided up into smaller parcels years ago.

Nice little stream at the back boundary of the lot that no one ever sees as it is at the point on the property furthest from the road.

Last few days temps have been in the 50's so all the pre-Thanksgiving snow has melted. Left a snowshoe hare that I saw standing out bright white against all the brown. The snow will be back soon enough.

Turkey Time Field Hockey

Saturday the 2nd Annual Turkey Time indoor field hockey tournament happened in the Daisy Bronson gym. 5 teams (20-25 players) competed. The high school aged teams held their own against the three adult teams that were filled with former college and high school players from our area.

Coach Simmons did a great job organizing the event. A great time to reconnect with lots of people from our field hockey community and we raised some money for charity too.

Hope we can continue the tradition next year.

Bethlehem Roads

Took a ride over Mt. Agassiz this AM and took a few "winter road" and "mountain shots".
Snow banks are getting pretty tall.
